overseas. overseas.>
nothing beats a good retreat to another country after a few months (actually only 2) of hard work. went to kuala lumpur for a 2 day 1 night stay. actually the motive of me going there is to participate in a 30km pacesetters race. went there with 2 other friends. actually they are a couple so i was like a huge light bulb for the whole 2 days =P. nevertheless, they were good enough to show me to the good makan places in kl, the shopping centres and i had a wonderful time there! now i just need to learn some malay to go there alone next time.
back at home now. where my own training resumes. just did a 95km ride in the hot sun. this is the 1st time i see sg actually getting so hot after 1 whole month of december rain. hopefully will be able to get back to malaysia for more events soon. the atmosphere there and the post race makan spree was definitely worth the entry fee i paid!

4 tuition +work + swim bike run>
nothing beats this man. practically working everyday. to others, off days means slacking at home, lazing around, movies, dating.... but for me, off days are when i have no tuition and training and just go to the adidas store to sell stuff. thats the only time i can relaxed. the days i train and give lessons, are the days i work. both physically and mentally.
with the weather turning for the better, training is starting to pick up. this week focussed mostly on swim and run. next week shall do a hell lot of biking. with 3 weeks left to my ironman, nothing is impossible!!!

a new year - turning 21>
last year had been busy. swimming, cycling and running. participating in events, doing tuition to supplement my sport. thinking back, i thought maybe this was worth the sacrifices i've made. maybe some people do not understand why i wake up at 5.30 am just to run 5 rounds around bedok reservoir, have my b/f, swim 3.8km and then head down to 3 different locations to tutor my students. hectic life, but i'm loving every part of my life now. learning to earn my own money and cherish it. managing my own finances. if i did not take up this sport, maybe i would just laze around, eat and shop and do nothing else. 'cos i have no goals to work towards to. having said so much, i am determined to complete my langkawi ironman (although i did not train much for it =P having only completed several times of 3.8km swims, 23km runs, 1 time of full marathon and 2 times of 90 km cycling). yes, i will suffer but i am going to tell myself to have fun in the event, enjoy every portion of the 14 to 15 hours i will take to complete the race. endure and excel.
21st birthday. mine is only coming in november. expect to attend many of my friends' parties. just attended one yesterday. held at a chalet. buffet, cake cutting, then gathered with friends to play an extreme version of heart attack. haha. my idea. you all would'nt want to hear about that. its sadistic =P. next week going for another one. now i'm starting to think should i have a party for myself? or should i just keep it simple and have a meal with my family... hmm... think think...
