the ironman invasion begins
just realized that i got one whole question wrong for my CM1101... 20 marks gone due to carelessness.
just completed my CM1111 paper and its 10 marks gone cos i could not recall some stuff that i've memorized in the morning.
MA1101 yesterday was bad... haha... but everyone else said it was bad too...
now i only hope for the best and i still can get the grades i want... sigh... uni is so different from jc...
1 down
3 more to go
5 more days
planning a 50km cycling route from nus and to suntec and loop back
if my legs don't die by then, i will go out for a 4 km run in nus straight after.
then bathe, dinner and relax in my hall... and sleep like i've never slept before.
but meanwhile, i shall not slack
i shall study hard, very hard.
haha...
=)
probably i should quit sch and go into full time training*
.. no more running..
.. no more swimming..
.. no more cycling..
whats' yours?
great day for me so far =)
ironman france - june 22 approx 380 Euros
anyway i've turned 21!!! like 3 days ago. well, my 21st birthday was a simple affair. no grand birthday parties like what some of my friends had, just a simple dinner with my family at crystal jade and thats it. haha. of course, many thanks to my dear friends who have celebrated my birthday for me... really appreciated it.
to many, turning 21 is like entering a new phase of their life. to me, every of my birthday is like turning 21. it means entering into a new year of what you intend to accomplish for yourself, and the others. being one year older means you have matured one year. means that now you have to have greater responsibilities. it means that others' expectations of you have increased, and you must not fail them. and i am always ready for all these challenges.
for myself, i have only 3 main goals for my 21st year: to study hard, to do my best in scmc and to train hard and hopefully complete the japan ironman in good time.
these few weeks, i had been busy. busy because exams are coming, busy because my committees' projects are starting soon. busy because i try to squeeze whatever spare time i have to run approx 10km.. like what i did today=> wake up, study, lunch, study, run, dinner, study, supper, study. might seem mundane to you guys, but this i think, will be my life until next year when the ironman is over.
so far, from what i've been through over the 2 years since i started triathlon, life had been as mundane as it could get. training hours increased, social life decreased. friends asked me to go out with them, but at that time while i was training for langkawi ironman, it was always training 1st, the rest can wait. 6 hours for a 120km bike training, 3 hours for a 30km run training and 2 hours for a 4km swim training. i don't think anyone outside this triathlon circle would understand why spend so much time doing all these stuff... they will just pass it off as insanity... or maybe tell us to get a life.
hopefully as time passes my friends will start to understand the this sport. understand that its not plainly physical, but it also develops your character...
well, its still triathlon for me. i love it. no matter how much sacrifices i have to make.
