the ironman invasion begins
anyway training has been going on quite smooth lately. with my 1.5km breast stroke at 36min. now i will need to work on my run to keep it to 5omin for 10km =)
yes...my life is rather boring. but thats my life. eat. swim. bike. run. study. sleep.
merry x'mas!
been training according to schedule, which is to do 2 days of swim-cycle, swim-run, one day of relax recovery swim as one cycle and then repeat this cycle every time, with increasing intensity. trying to build back my fitness which has been totally gone after i entered uni. but i'm sure this will come back soon. haha... registered for singapore biathlon and probably nus biathlon. still contemplating if should register for the sundown marathon this may. definitely will not be doing the ultra 84km but the 42km seems within reach. hopefully i will be able to dig out some spare time to train for that sundown marathon and complete it in 4 1/2 hours. haha.
finally got myself back to the pool after 9 months of not touching pool water since i did my lasik surgery in end feb. whow. it was mixed feelings. when i began my 1st stroke, somehow i felt i could have gone faster but i just could'nt bring myself to. muscle fatigue set in quite quickly and i only managed to do 20 laps discontinuously. haha... that was on sunday. glad that when i did it again on monday and just now, the muscle fatigue was gone and i could do the 20 laps continuously. but timing was just mediocre, at 29 mins for a breast stroke. hoping to cut it down to below 25 min by end jan.
meanwhile, its just intensive training for base building and hopefully by my 3rd year in university when i go to france for exchange i could go participate in the Ironman Nice.
