the ironman invasion begins
sundown marathon is coming in 3 months time. i have made up my mind and decided to register for it. 42km starting at 2359 hrs. torturous. but i love it. another race for me to look forward to.
studies have been proceeding okay for me thus far. i am beginning to see a ray of hope in maths. so i have decided to peservere on and hope for the best. of course i will try to consult my seniors and practice more questions.
see. life is full of choices. everyday i make a choice in hope for a better tomorrow. today i chose to study maths and read my lab manual so that my thursday could be freed up for some other stuff. i chose to do multi-sports so that i can become fitter. there are so many choices to make in life. sometimes you wouldn't know if you have chosen the correct one. i have decided to stay in KR next semester. hope this is the correct choice. i am still deciding if i should join aquathlon or do some other stuff... probably be mor involved in hall next year... still deciding if i should completely detach myself from science for the coming semester.
just feeling a little irritated today from the lack of sleep yesterday.
yesterday talentquest band finals had been wonderful. some bands were excellent, some were good and some were only so-so. as for the crowd, its again the same bunch of people from science who always hang out together, the mc members and probably a few of the bands' fan clubs. then again, one starts to ponder when will science club actually really reach out to the masses and when will her members even be able to attend such functions free of charge instead of having to pay the full ticket price to make up for the event fundings cos it seems that science club events don't seem to be able to cast a net wide enough to get a participation rate high enough to cover her events' costs, and it ends up with her members 'sponsoring' their own projects. lol... haha.. something that all of us, and myself should really wonder... whats wrong with our projects, our people, or is it just science.
enough said for today. i am feeling rather energetic now. will try to do up another video. thanks to the alcohol consumption yesterday, i was actually feeling rather groggy this morning... lol.. this is the kind of aftermath you get after not drinking totally for like half a year... haha... but well! healthy lifestyle man! i love the good old uncle style of drinking kopi or teh at coffeeshop.=P
and tomorrow's school! omg!
just returned from sg biathlon 08. despite the rain, everything still went on smoothly. managed to shave off 5 mins from my nus biathlon timing and did a 1hr 31min. although i did not hit my intended target time, i still thought i had put in a good amount of effort for this race. well, just gotta train harder now for the triathlon season coming the mid of this year. now i have to decide if i should join the sundown marathon in end may... think think...
sg biathlon was totally different from nus biathlon.. haha... but such comparisons would be unfair to nus given their very limited funds and manpower. sg biathlon has totally impressed me from their organization, structure to the conduct of the event. everything looks just so efficient and beautifully done from the third person's point of view. good job to the navy and nus keep up the good work too!
